Transport to the Heritage Festival

If you are coming to the Charnwood Roots Heritage Festival on Sunday 21st May, you may be interested to know that there will be a free vintage shuttle bus operating between Beaumanor Hall, Markfield and Quorn.

Pubic transport to many of the villages around the edges of the Forest is available on a Sunday. However, it is not easy to get to places in the centre, such as Woodhouse. Our friends at Leicester Transport Heritage Trust are therefore offering a free vintage shuttle bus across the middle of the Forest to help those wishing to travel to the event by public transport. The buses have been timetabled to coincide with regular public transport links to Quorn (Arriva bus 127, Leicester-Shepshed via Loughborough and Markfield (Arriva bus 29 Leicester – Burton).
