Three ‘Big Digs’ were held as part of the Charnwood Roots project, in Anstey (2014), Whitwick (2015) and Rothley (2016). Test pits were dug in various locations, to see what we could find out about early settlement in that village.
Volunteers also helped with fieldwalking in various locations.
